Pat March
Builds stoneware slab pots in pleasing shapes evocative of the Dorset coast and the pebbles of its beaches. Stylised birds and fish feature in multi-sectioned creations as she ventures into garden sculpture.
Maggie & Fil Cooke – a couple of complementary potters!
Maggie’s use of translucent porcelain reflects her Fine Art training. Large dishes, bowls and wall hangings impressed with flower and seed heads portray their transient beauty - a fusion of the artist’s eye and the ceramicist’s craft.
Fil is the kiln maker of the group and produces both decorative raku fired and functional soda glazed domestic pottery – comfy casseroles, mugs, jugs, bowls etc. His kilns in the Old School Yard have been featured in Ceramic Review.
Bill Crumbleholme
A range of thrown vessels which echo ancient wares, fusing prehistoric shapes and decorations with modern glazing techniques, drinking beakers, cooking pots, bowls & vases. Raku globes give a taste of the orient.
Irene Passmore
Iconic images of beasts, birds and bugs decorate Irene’s tiles and plates. Her torso sculptures use her stone carving skills, finished in attractive bronzed glazes.
Opening times: Open Every Day 10am to 6pm. For exhibitions during the year check website.
