California Barn Studio

The Place: In fields near the Jurassic coast, the studio provides an attractive working environment and exhibition space.
The Space: A number of groups regularly use the studio and adjoining holiday accommodation for specific arts activities.
The Event: During Dorset Art Weeks artists will share the space, allowing visitors to view techniques, purchase art and interact directly whilst the artists work.

The Artists
Jane Colquhoun:Textiles/Mixed media incorporating stitched layers of weathered, torn, handmade and recycled text. inspired by sea and land.
Karen Delahay: Photographs and “digital doodles” - bold, brash and sometimes deeper than just colour and line.
Emma Pickering: influenced by landscape and coast, her abstracts take the sharp contrasts of both and juxtaposes them.
Wendy Wharam: Acrylics, mixed media and photography. Inspired by local landscape and the colours and imagery of southern India, the work has individual style and technique.

Opening times: 10.30am-4pm daily

Directions
At the west end of Swanage High St, follow signs to “Swanage Coastal Park” south up Bell Street, left into Priests Road, sharp right into Priests Way, and Swanage Coastal Caravan Park. Through park and quarter mile along tarmac road. Then left, stone track to farm and right into courtyard.
