225 Artwey at Weymouth Old Town Hall
Variety of Art Forms
Artwey CIC is once again opening temporary studios in the 18th century ‘Old Town Hall’ on Weymouth’s original High Street. This unique historic site dates back to Elizabeth 1. A group of ten artists will be exhibiting.
Visitors will see a mix of high quality painting, printmaking, mixed media, ceramics/sculpture and fine art textiles. Subject matter spans representational, contemporary landscapes and seascapes, alongside studies of nature and also more abstract work.
All artists will be on site at various times and will be happy to talk to visitors about their inspiration, techniques and give insight into their approaches.
All artwork, prints and cards will be for sale, a proportion of the takings going to the Old Town Hall CIC.
Artwey is a thriving arts organisation that supports working artists and tutors in the Weymouth and Portland area. Many Artwey artists run courses and take commissions. Information about this year’s exhibitors is on the Artwey website.
The venue is close to the marina and the area boasts a good choice of restaurants, cafes and public houses.
