Furniture, jewellery, print and sculpture
We all respond to our environment, we live it, breathe it, create it in our own, very individual ways. A diverse range to see with furniture, jewellery, print and sculpture. Exploring the origins of our materials and influences, pushing the boundaries of art, craft and product.
Alice’s ideas, married with locally-sourced materials, result in furniture with integrity, reflecting her deeply-felt design and craft ethic. Interiors to individually commissioned furniture. Knowing the origin of the timber, bringing out its beauty, letting the timber sing – this intimate understanding of the material, often found literally at her feet, is Alice's life.
Brendon blurrs the boundaries between traditional techniques and contemporary artwork, specialising in creating unique contemporary figurative sculptures for both indoor and outdoor settings. His work ranges in size from small mantelpiece sized to large scale sculptures, in bronze, wood, stone and resins.
Sian is showing jewellery in gold, silver and precious and semi-precious stones. Skills in ancient and modern techniques suffuse her work with archaeological sensibility. On show recent collections and several collaborations with artists.
Armed with a new press, Liz makes large, and not so large, hand coloured linocuts. Landscape is central to her work: the natural flow, rhythm, unexpected colour and lyricism that characterises her West Country home. www.lizsomerville.co.uk
