Farrs Open Day: Sunday 10 June
International furniture maker John Makepeace and horticulturalist Jenny Makepeace invite you to their inspirational historic house and garden, which has featured in many publications and on Gardeners’ World.
The house has many examples of John’s acclaimed furniture and a selection of contemporary artworks by internationally acclaimed artists.
There are four areas of the garden which include Jenny’s colourful potager, cleft oak fruit cage, glasshouse and straw bale constructed retreat. This adjoins John’s magnificent grass gardens, rolling lawns, sculptures and topiary. Visitors are requested to remove their shoes when entering the house.
You are welcome to spend time drawing in the grounds, please bring your own equipment, although we will have pencils and postcards available. You may bring a picnic - to be eaten outside only!
