231 ARTISAN HOUSE -Joseph Nuttgens, Lucy Yarwood and Sheila Martin
WATERCOLOURS, PRINTS, COLLAGES and CERAMICS.
Lucy’s parents, artists Peggy and James Allardyce, and Joe’s parents, were lifelong friends. Sheila worked for Joe’s father, the stained-glass artist Joseph Edward Nuttgens.
Joe looks for rhythm and energy in nature to express personal themes in his watercolours and prints and like his father also works in stained-glass.
Lucy’s boldly decorated pots and sculptural pieces reflect her love of pottery as a timeless artform.
Sheila’s artworks are influenced by her training in stained-glass. Light and colour, and the process of gardening are her inspirations
