63 Amanda Wallwork + Jon Adam + Richard Wilson
Three artists working in different artforms - installation/drawing/painting/ceramics
Amanda Wallwork RWA
Work concerned with archaeology, geology and formation of landscape - revealing what is not always immediately apparent, what can’t always be seen on the surface. Recent projects include the geology of the Jurassic coast, the landscape of the South Dorset Ridgeway, field boundaries and the tithe apportionments of Portland.
Adam's distinctive oil paintings express an emotional interpretation and abstraction of the world around him, working with the surface and an evocative use of colour to build depth, Adam creates his own world of abstracted expressions.
Richard loves to explore colour and form with his work. His pots reflect the spontaneity of the slipware tradition of decoration, with coloured clays on semi-dry pots. Using terracotta clay and white slip, colours are applied in different ways, with brushes, sponges and trailers, gradually building bold patterns around the pots for a loose abstract effect.
