115 Jim Hunter at The Slade Centre
Paintings, drawings and more
The main galleries host new works by Jim Hunter whose studio and home are in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. This particular landscape of cliffs and stone quarries is often the subject of his paintings, prompting abstract images which are expressive and decorative in intent while not necessarily descriptive. Choice of materials is important and Hunter works with watercolour, pasted paper and collage allowing for radical interventions and inventions as paintings progress.
The exhibition is complemented on the ground floor by the work of Group 7. Full details of exhibitions and associated programme of talks, events and workshops on the website.
