DORSET ART WEEKS 2022 DIRECTORY • 33 South 122 – 178 VENUE 122 Sculpture at The Walled Garden This year we get interactive - help artist Katie Surridge activate her large scale metal sculptural tools that dig and turn the soil (Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May), willow artist Mark Haddon will be creating a large woven seedpod shelter in the Gardens (Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May), an outdoor cinema event with live soundtrack (Saturday 21 May). Make a day of it - explore the beautiful five acre garden with ponds, large lawn spaces, wetlands, woodland and discover contemporary sculpture by Isla Chaney, Sophie Fretwell, John Maine RA, Carrie Mason, Katherine Miles, Brendon Murless, Two Circles Design and Elaine Wilson. Enjoy delicious food at The Dovecote Café, children’s outdoor play area on site, with plenty to see nearby too including Whistler engraved windows in St Nicholas Church, Lawrence of Arabia’s grave, the picturesque long bridge - all within easy walking distance.
