CONTEMPORARY PAINTING
Two artists, who exhibit professionally in the South-West, explore rich
and vibrant colour in their semi-abstract paintings which complement
each other well in this spacious studio, set in idyllic rural surroundings.
Gerry
uses transparent glazes to convey the glow of light on French
rivers, one of which won first prize at the Bath & West Show 2017. He
also continues his interest in the shapes and rhythms of West Dorset’s
landscape.
Sonia
’s recent paintings display her love of colour through everyday
objects. These works are characterised by playful compositions, vibrant
colour and rich texture.
