DECORATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL
CERAMICS
I use porcelain and stoneware to
throw simple, elegant cups, mugs,
bowls, jugs and dishes.
These are decorated with
coloured slips, in designs inspired
by natural forms, or simply glazed,
in colours evocative of the Dorset
coast.

Art critic Brian Sewell said ‘David Atkins is an artist who excels at
capturing the magic and majesty of the British countryside. His strong
and confident brushwork successfully records the essence of his subjects
be they landscape or urban cityscapes’.
I will be exhibiting a selection of paintings, drawings and prints based on
Dorset, Cornwall and my travels further afield.
