CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY

Artwave West is one of the principal independent contemporary art

venues in the Southwest. A stylish open plan viewing space, specialist

museum lighting and crisp uncluttered décor provides a superb place to

enjoy looking at and contemplating artworks.

Artists exhibiting are professional practitioners with impressive national

and international profiles and a number have been nominated for

prestigious exhibitions and awards in cultural capitals such as London,

New York and Venice.

. Strong colour contrasts

inspired by architectural environments have fascinated Martin - he uses a

dynamic geometry to hold the compositions together, revisiting his

fascination with the artistic movements of Constructivism and Vorticism.

Donna’s paintings are really about colour - concentrating her work on the

coast as this is where the most intense colours are found and painting by

hand on aluminium so colours can reflect and become more powerful,

she creates beautiful, jewel like paintings.

Alongside the gallery is an Art Academy where a wide range of

workshops and courses can be booked by those wanting to extend and

develop their skills or simply try something completely different for a

day!
