91. Dorset Coppice Group
TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY WOODLAND COPPICE CRAFTS
The Living Classroom is run by the Dorset Coppice Group. It comprises
an area of approximately 30 acres of mixed, broadleaved woodland
known as Bonsley. In 1999 a number of the Dorset woodsmen decided
that a local group was needed to help promote their services and
products.
Members include (among others) wood turners, hurdle makers, basket
makers, chair makers, charcoal makers, green woodworkers, stick makers,
forest school activities and pyrography artists. Our off-grid venue is based
in the beautiful ancient Bonsley Wood. Over the two weeks there will be
demos, displays and classes, please check our website for details.
