94. Vanessa Stanfield and Judy Baker

COLLAGRAPH, MODERN MOSAIC, WIRE MESH SCULPTURE

Vanessa:

Living in Dorset provides a rich visual source for my print

making. Expansive and distant horizons, together with detailed natural

forms, are created in my collagraphs. I incorporate a wealth of basic

materials to create highly textural reliefs. The use of colour is intrinsic to

the process.

Judy:

We live in a world of fragments. These may come from previously

used objects or from our deliberate breaking. The creative process of

manipulating these pieces into something new is the joy of mosaic

making. Wire dog sculptures, both within mosaics and as stand alone

pieces are a newly emerging inspiration.
