253. St Michael’s Artists

BRIDPORT’S ART & VINTAGE QUARTER

Since 1999 St Michael’s Studios has established Bridport as one of the

most exciting artistic communities in the West Country, providing work

and exhibition space for dozens of award-winning painters, sculptors,

illustrators, designers, photographers, textile, digital and glass artists,

book-binders and a hat-maker. We have several group exhibitions

throughout the year, opening during DAW, over the Easter and August

Bank Holiday weekends and during the big Bridport Open Studios event

in September. Visit

www.stmichaelsartists.com

to arrange individual

studio visits.

St Michael’s Studios are spread throughout several buildings in Bridport’s

Art & Vintage Quarter - also known as the St Michael’s Trading Estate.

The main studios have entrances at both ends of the distinctive long red

brick building with a square tower. First go through the door to the right

of the Vintage Cornucopia shop and take the stairs to the first floor

where you’ll find landscape painter Kit Glaisyer plus figurative painters

Caroline Ireland and David Brooke. On the second floor you’ll find

painters Russ Snedker, Peggy Cozzi, Pru Heward-Morgan, John Boyd,

Marion Taylor and Charlotte Miller.
