Sarah Kelly’s joy for painting in oils is exploring the effects of light on
water: out at sea, on the coast, in harbour, or inland. Uplifting images
that start as a moment of something wonderful seen and experienced,
then translated into a painting, ‘en pleine air’ or in her Broadstone
studio.
Steve Coles likes to describe himself as a ‘cultural engineer’, producing a
variety of works in cast metal, usually recycled. As well as exhibiting, he
will be bringing his portable forge to demonstrate the techniques used.
